How You Help

In the interest of caring for our community, we are constantly seeking those individuals who share our passion.  Most of our volunteers and donors come to us because their lives have been touched by the diseases we treat.  Some of our volunteers develop a deeper passion for our work as a result of losing a loved one who suffered from the diseases treated at our clinic.  Other times volunteers themselves suffer from high blood pressure or related illnesses.  Whatever drives you, we can provide the opportunity to help.

"Saving Lives" Campaign

In this first year of our new campaign, we are seeking your assistance to turn resources into healthcare services.  For every $1 we raise, we will give back more than $5 of health care to the community.  This is a vital campaign to support our ongoing commitment to care.  You can donate to the Center by visiting GiveRichmond.org through the link provided.  http://giverichmond.guidestar.org/NonprofitProfile.aspx?OrgId=1048855&DonateNow=1

You can help by becoming part of a solution - a volunteer solution.

  • Volunteer Physicians are an invaluable part of the service provided.  We have some of the finest physicians in Richmond helping our patients every week.  You can work in a setting that needs your services desperately, without worrying about insurance hassles or top-heavy organizations.  You make your own schedule and serve a vital link preventing catastrophic events in a high risk population.
  • Pharmacists offer a great service to our patients and are a wonderful complement to our medical services where medications play such a significant role in controlling the chronic conditions we treat.
  • Nurses are invaluable in our day to day operations.  Although our nurse team usually manages the patient load, it is wonderful to complement our team with volunteers while others are on vacation or out of the office.
  • Health Educators give our patients a chance for a one on one session to discuss their current diet and lifestyle. They work with the patient to create goals for lifestyle change to better their health through diet modification and exercise.
  • Interns working toward degrees in related fields are always welcome to gain experience in our community-based setting.  Our interns gain experience in all aspects of clinic operation.
  • Clerical help is always welcome.  We strive diligently to maintain our records and patient communications in a manner that enhances the patient's ability to be as compliant as possible.
  • Board Members in our clinic are volunteers donating time, talent and resources.  We are in a critical time of growth, which drives our need to grow our board.  The strength of a board has a direct impact on the strength of the entire organization.  Our board of directors is in the process of writing a strategic plan that will shape the center's role in health care in this community for years to come.  We have strong leadership to build on the great work already completed.
  • Campaign Volunteers will be critical to developing long-lasting relationships with individuals and companies that will allow the center to serve the ever-growing number of uninsured and medically under-served. Giving back to the Richmond community through your help is a great way to say thank you!
